3D Timeline |
This unnamed trucker is a minor character in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). He helps Sally Hardesty at the end of the movie. He was driving along the road when Sally was being chased by Leatherface and Nubbins, eventually accidentally running over Nubbins. As he saw the chaos, the trucker stopped driving and went out to check what was happening, but quickly rushed back into his truck with Sally when Leatherface appeared and runned towards them to attack. The two then ran out the other door of the truck, with the trucker eventually partially hindering Leatherface by threwing a wrench at him, knocking him off his feet and causing him to accidentally cut himself on the leg with a chainsaw in the process. With Leatherface injured and unable to run, Sally jumped into a passing pickup truck while the trucker presumambly ran off to safety, Leatherface being unable to follow him. His official fate afterwards is left unknown. He was portrayed by Ed Guinn.
Nevertheless, an alternative opening of Texas Chainsaw 3D, revealed the trucker's fate as his corpse was seen hanging in Leatherface's lair, meaning that after the events of the first film Leatherface somehow managed to catch up to him and eventually killed him. However, this ending was never confirmed to be canon.[1]
