The Lee Bros. lackey, also known as Jess, is a minor character featured in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre film series. He appeared in the 2006 prequel film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning where he was played by actor Marcus Nelson.

Biography[]

This man worked as an employee of the Lee Bros. Meat Processing Plant in Fuller, Travis County, Texas in the late 1960s.

In July, 1969, the man was one of the last employees of the slaughterhouse along with his supervisor and a butcher named Thomas Hewitt. Due to drought-related illnesses in cattle however, the Lee Bros. plant was condemned and shut down.

Despite being shut down, Thomas Hewitt continued to chop up meat as if it were business as usual.

The supervisor asked Jess what he was still doing there and he told him that he believed Hewitt actually liked being in the place. He then told Jess to get that "over-sized retard" to go home.

Jess took to this task with some trepidation, as Hewitt was a large and powerful man with a dangerous countenance. He came downstairs from the manager's office and reminded Hewitt that they were shut down and were no longer packing meat.

Hewitt continued to chop up beef as if he were unaware of the man's presence. Jess grew agitated at being ignored and snapped at Hewitt saying, "You got to get the hell out of here, you dumb animal". Then, Hewitt suddenly stopped and turned towards the lackey, tightly gripping his meat cleaver.

He then dropped it to the floor and walked past Jess, leaving the startled man exhaling with great relief that Thomas did not do anything violent.
