John Larroquette at B-Barks

John Larroquette is the actor who played the narrator of the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" franchise.

He was initially approached to provide his voice the original movie by Tobe Hooper, who had been an acquaintance of Larroquette's in Colorado in the late 1960s, as a favour. Larroquette accepted, providing an unsettling opening and closing monologue with his unique voice. According to a persistent urban legend, Larroquette was paid in marijuana - a rumour Larroquette has since confirmed to be true.[1] Larroquette reprised his role in the 2003 remake and its 2006 prequel, and again in the 2022 requel.

Despite his strong connection to the series, Larroquette has stated in interviews that he is not a horror fan and has never seen any of the films.[1]
