Bud Horton is the best friend of Jedidiah Sawyer and the tritagonist villain of Leatherface. He had escaped the Asylum with Jed, Ike, Lizzy and Clarice. As the 5 were on the run, they soon found refuge in a trailer in the forest. Ike had insulted Bud, irritating Bud. This caused Bud to brutally murder Ike when Ike had went outside to pee. He was soon killed when he was shot in the head by a member of the Authorities when Lizzy attempted to get help as Bud tried to kill the deputy. Enraged by his best friend's death, Jed had rushed over to the deputy and beat him to death to avenge Bud.

Bud is an obese young. He has long brown hair and blue eyes. He mostly has overalls ,and a shirt on.

It is revealed by Dr. Lang and Jed that Bud had a foster family, but he put them all in a coma because they got rid of his dog. A little later into the film when Lizzy is looking at Bud's record it is also revealed Bud is Bipolar.
